set NOPIPE=YES and use the rancid script with -d (hopefully the author
maintained that) so that you get a .raw file and log of commands
recognized.

I assume this works when you telnet in and run these commands. What you might end up doing is running a packet capture via wireshark / tcpdump, and compare doing it by hand to your clogin command; it may be an improper newline or something simple like that.spawn telnet 10.10.111.2
