to increase the security on the netscreen (i only found the way to configure
a r/w user).

Hi Ben,
I had the same problem. The reason you got this error is probably
because you have a pager set on the netscreen. When rancid issues the
'get conf' command it sits there waiting for the output to finish, while
the netscreen is waiting for you to hit space to show the rest ;-)
"set console page 0"

I tried with the nlogin, and it works.
rantanplan-test:/usr/local/rancid/bin# ./nlogin -f
/usr/local/rancid/.cloginrc 10.150.0.253
10.150.0.253
spawn ssh -c 3des -x -l rancid 10.150.0.253
