[rancid] unable to download old rancid versions

I am unable to download any file from

ftp://ftp.shrubbery.net/pub/rancid/.old/

I can browse the .old directory but can't start a download of anything in
it; picking files from other directories (such as /pub/rancid/) works.

$ wget ftp://ftp.shrubbery.net/pub/rancid/.old/rancid-2.3.3.tar.gz

If you search the list, this is an issue that has existed for a very long time. It appears that no one cares. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
